Rajasthan govt partners with Sahaj Retail to expand e-Mitra digital services, enhancing citizen access across the state.

To increase the variety of digital services available via the state’s e-Mitra network, the Rajasthani government has teamed up with Sahaj Retail, a project of the Kanoria Foundation.

RajCOMP Info Services Ltd. (RISL), the state’s e-governance nodal body, has formalized the partnership. More than 73,000 e-Mitra locations operating throughout Rajasthan will incorporate Sahaj’s business-to-citizen (B2C) services as part of the agreement.

Access to a variety of government services via physical centers is made possible by e-Mitra, the state government’s unified digital service delivery platform, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. For citizens, these centers serve as a vital point of contact for services like social welfare programs, utility bill payments, certifications, and licenses.

Sahaj will onboard e-Mitra centers in the 13 districts of the Jaipur and Ajmer divisions as part of the collaboration. It is anticipated that the integration will increase citizens’ access to a wider range of services in both urban and rural areas.

According to officials, the effort aims to improve service availability, facilitate access, and shorten service delivery delays in order to strengthen the state’s digital governance system. By allowing them to offer a wider range of digital services, the expansion is also anticipated to give local business owners and e-Mitra operators more revenue opportunities.

The collaboration is in line with the Rajasthani government’s continuous efforts to expand the reach of e-governance programs and improve last-mile digital service delivery, particularly in underserved and remote areas of the state.
