Rajasthan will host the Ghoomar Festival 2025 across all seven divisions on Nov 19. Jaipur’s Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium to hold the main state-level event.

The Ghoomar Festival 2025 – a grand celebration of Rajasthan’s traditional dance form, will take place for the first time simultaneously at all seven divisional headquarters of the state — Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota, and Bharatpur — on November 19, according to Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Tourism and Arts & Culture Diya Kumari.

The football field at Jaipur’s Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium will host the state-level event.

The Ghoomar dance is a representation of Rajasthan’s rich cultural legacy and feminine charm, according to Diya Kumari, who chaired a meeting with stakeholders and members of the public at the Rajasthan Tourism Bhawan on Wednesday.

“Ghoomar is more than just a dance; it is Rajasthan’s cultural identity,” she added, adding that the festival will provide a stage for showcasing the state’s traditional arts and culture internationally.

Diya Kumari encouraged working women, homemakers, professional dancers, and college and high school students to participate in the festival and show off their ethnic pride.

In order to make the event more lively and colorful, she also encouraged attendees to come in big numbers while dressed in traditional Rajasthani garb. On the official website of the Rajasthan Tourism Department, ghoomar.rajasthan.gov.in, participants can register for free.

All seven towns are hosting free Ghoomar dancing sessions to assist participants get ready. From November 11 to 16, the Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur is hosting a six-day program.

To ensure uniformity in rhythm and mood, performers from all divisions will perform to a specially crafted soundtrack for the Ghoomar Festival, according to authorities.

Under the guidance of Jyoti Tomar, Executive Director of the Gangaur Ghoomar Dance Academy, the Ghoomar dance will be performed to live music at the state-level event in Jaipur.

This spectacular showcase will feature academy members as well as a few Jaipur-based performers. In closing, Diya Kumari stated that the Ghoomar Festival in 2025 will honor the everlasting beauty of traditional art, women’s empowerment, and the cultural spirit of Rajasthan.
