Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has officially commenced the ‘Thanksgiving Journey’ from the sacred land of Sri Anandpur Sahib, marking a significant spiritual and political outreach initiative. The Thanksgiving Journey began with the blessings of Guru Maharaj, reflecting the state government’s emphasis on connecting governance with religious sentiments.

During the launch, CM Mann stated that the government has been entrusted with the historic responsibility of enacting the stringent ‘Jagat Jyot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Respect Act 2026’ to curb incidents of sacrilege. He asserted that the law will be extremely strict, ensuring that those found guilty will face strict action without exception.

Thanksgiving Journey: CM Bhagwant Mann Reaffirms Commitment to Punjab’s Faith, Historic Reforms, and Divine Guidance

Reiterating his commitment, the Chief Minister said that the Thanksgiving Journey represents gratitude toward the people of Punjab and the divine guidance of Guru Sahib. He added that the passage of this historic legislation, holding the Punjab Assembly session outside Chandigarh, and granting sacred status to three cities have all been made possible through divine grace and public support.

CM Mann further emphasized that the Thanksgiving Journey is not just a political event but a message of unity, faith, and respect for Punjab’s spiritual heritage. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Punjab, especially mothers and sisters, who participated in the gathering despite extreme heat conditions.

Calling the citizens his strength, he reiterated during the Thanksgiving Journey that his government remains fully committed to protecting the honor and dignity of Punjab.
