Chandigarh: Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak addressed a press conference today regarding the upcoming Punjab Wheat Procurement 2026 season, highlighting key preparations and achievements by the Mann government to support farmers across the state.

Record Wheat Procurement

Minister Kataruchak revealed that the central government had set a target of 122 lakh metric tons for wheat procurement. However, the state has already achieved a remarkable milestone by procuring 132 lakh metric tons. This demonstrates the Mann government’s commitment to ensuring maximum support and financial security for farmers under Punjab Wheat Procurement 2026.
