Punjab Police seize 12.05 kg heroin in Amritsar’s Daleke village; ANTF and BSF investigate to trace suspects and dismantle drug network.

Punjab Police : Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav announced here Tuesday that the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Border Range, working with the Border Security Force (BSF), had recovered a quantity of heroin weighing about 12.050 kg from the nearby village of Daleke in Lopoke, Amritsar, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing effort to make Punjab safe and secure in accordance with directives from Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

According to the DGP, information on the existence of a drone in agricultural areas near Daleke village was discovered during normal patrols of recognized susceptible points.

He added that a consignment of heroin was found in the fields close to Village Daleke as a consequence of the concerted operation. Joint teams from ANTF, led by SP Gurpreet Singh, acted quickly on the intelligence and conducted a methodical search of the suspected area. The confiscated contraband weighed 12.050 kg in total, including packing materials.

SP ANTF Gurpreet Singh provided additional information, stating that a preliminary inquiry is being conducted to use technical evidence and human intelligence to trace backward and forward ties in this case. According to him, raids are being carried out to apprehend the suspects who were meant to recover the shipment.

Accordingly, a case FIR no. 322 dated 22/12/2025 has been filed at Police Station ANTF under sections 21(c) and 29 of the NDPS Act.
