Chandigarh — In a major step towards a healthier Punjab, Health Minister Balbir Singh held a video conference today with Punjab’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and Deputy Commissioners to discuss the ongoing Punjab Health Initiative. The meeting focused on the “Needle-Syringe Exchange Program,” a key part of the initiative aimed at reducing drug-related health risks.
During the session, Health Minister Balbir Singh presented a detailed PowerPoint explaining the objectives, implementation process, and health benefits of the Punjab Health Initiative. The program is designed to curb the spread of HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C while strengthening the state’s healthcare system.
