The Punjab Health Card Scheme is continuing to provide financial relief to families across the state by ensuring access to cashless medical treatment during emergencies. According to information shared by Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh on X, another heart patient has successfully received a free stent under the scheme and returned home safely after treatment.
The minister said the initiative is proving to be a major support for economically weaker families who often struggle to afford expensive medical procedures.

Under the Punjab Health Card Scheme, eligible beneficiaries can receive cashless medical treatment worth up to ₹10 lakh. In the latest case, a patient underwent a successful heart procedure with the help of a free stent provided under the scheme, avoiding a significant financial burden.
After returning home, the patient expressed gratitude to the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government for providing timely treatment and financial assistance during a critical health emergency.
