Punjab Govt announces smartphones to Anganwadi Workers, salary updates, and new hires. Women & Child Development initiatives boost service delivery.

The Punjab Government will soon provide smartphones to Anganwadi Workers and helpers, as promised by Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur , according to a press statement from the Punjab Information and Public Relations Department.

The declaration was made by the minister at the Punjab Civil Secretariat during a meeting with many Anganwadi unions.

The administration is also taking into account concerns about raising mobile allowances, improving salaries, and other demands made by the workforce, Dr. Baljit Kaur continued.

She claimed that every request made by the Anganwadi employees and support staff had been carefully considered. Issues that can be handled at the departmental level will be dealt with shortly, and those that need decisions at the government level will also be addressed right away.

She stated that in order to reinforce the service delivery system, the hiring procedure for Anganwadi staff and assistants is now underway to fill all open positions.

According to the press release, Anganwadi union representatives praised Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and Social Security, Women, and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur for making a number of good decisions on this occasion, such as releasing outstanding salary arrears, starting the hiring process, and changing the regulations to allow dependents to be employed in the event of a worker’s death or serious illness.

Other senior department officials attended the meeting, including Mr. Sukhdeep Singh, Director Ms. Shena Aggarwal, Deputy Director Mr. Amarjit Singh, and Additional Chief Secretary of the Department Mr. Vikas Pratap.
