Chandigarh : Punjab DIPR (Information and Public Relations Department) organised fourth consecutive religious function here at Gurdwara Sahib of Punjab Civil Secretariat-1 here, on Tuesday, 20th January 2026.

The function was organised to observe the Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji with full devotion and religious fervour. Sri Sukhmani Sahib Paath and Ardas was organised for Sarbat Da Bhalla (Blessings for Everyone). Following which shabad kirtan was recited by Bhai Saroop Singh.

Punjab Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab President & Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training Minister Mr. Aman Arora, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Revenue Minister S. Hardip Singh Mundian, General Secretary AAP and Media Incharge Mr. Baltej Singh Pannu, Secretary Information and Public Relations Mr. Ramvir, Secretary General Administration Ms. Gauri Prashar Joshi, Special DGP Amardeep Singh Rai, OSD CM (Media) Mr. Amanjot Singh, Director Media Communication to Chief Minister Mr. Anil Saini, Director DIPR Dr. Akshita Gupta, Deputy Secretary DIPR Mr. Deepankar Garg, Joint Secretary GAD Mr. Tejdeep Singh Saini, Additional Director (Admin) Mr. Sandeep Singh Garha, ADO Sukhwinder Singh, State Information Commissioner Harpreet Singh Sandhu and Dr Nirmal Jaura joined the staff of DIPR to pay obeisance and seek blessings from the Almighty.

Large number of media fraternity and staff from various departments including Punjab Civil Secretariat-1, Punjab Civil Secretariat-2 and Punjab Vidhan Sabha thronged to participate in this religious event.

During the function, a langar of Dastars (free turbans) was also organised.
