Chandigarh, Punjab: Finance Minister Harpal Cheema slammed opposition attempts to tarnish the state’s image, calling it “cheap politics.” Speaking about the progress under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Cheema highlighted that in just four years, Punjab has attracted ₹1.55 lakh crore in investments, achieved record GST revenue, and drawn international companies such as Tata Steel, reflecting the state’s strengthened law and order and successful fight against narcotics.
“These milestones are clear proof of Punjab development achievements. Employment generation, free electricity, health protection, improved education, and promotion of sports culture all showcase the government’s commitment to the people of Punjab,” Cheema said.
