Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s anti-drug campaign continues for 284 days, 84 smugglers arrested, massive narcotics and cash seized across 339 raids.
Punjab: Continuing its relentless fight against drugs, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Anti-Drug campaign “Yudh Nashian Virudh” has entered its 284th consecutive day with significant results. In the latest crackdown, the Punjab Police conducted raids at 339 locations, resulting in the arrest of 84 drug smugglers and registration of 70 FIRs across the state.
Since the launch of the campaign, the total number of drug smugglers arrested has reached 39,984, reflecting the government’s sustained commitment to eradicating the drug menace.

The recent operations also led to seizures of narcotics and contraband, including:

1.7 kg of heroin

50 grams of opium

33 kg of poppy husk

965 intoxicant pills

The Punjab Police emphasized that the campaign continues to target all levels of the drug trade, from smugglers to distributors, ensuring strict enforcement and public safety.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reaffirmed his government’s dedication to a drug-free Punjab, stating that such operations are part of a broader strategy to protect the youth and communities from substance abuse.
With consistent enforcement, “Yudh Nashian Virudh” aims to curb drug trafficking and dismantle networks fueling addiction, reinforcing Punjab’s position as a state committed to the elimination of the drug menace.
