Kejriwal and CM Mann meet Punjab’s newly elected Panchayat members, stress clean politics, development, and continue war against drugs and gangsters.

In a strong political message, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann met with newly elected Zila Parishad and Block Samiti members and asserted that Punjab has decisively broken away from the era of fear, goondagardi, and manipulated elections, while announcing that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government will now launch a full-scale war against gangsters on the lines of the ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’.

Citing the AAP’s landslide victory of more than 70% of Panchayat seats as a mandate for clean politics and honest governance, the AAP Chief stated that Punjab had seen the cleanest local body elections in its history, with not a single vote shifted, while CM Bhagwant Singh Mann emphasized that pro-people governance had forced traditional parties to rewrite their manifestos.

Will appear before Sri Akal Takht Sahib as a humble Sikh, its mandate paramount over everything else: Mann.

On the matter of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that he would undoubtedly appear before the Takht with all facts and that the proceedings be broadcast live on all networks. “I will be there not as a Chief Minister, but as a modest and pious Sikh. Sri Akal Takht Sahib is sacred to all Sikhs and the highest temporal seat of our community. Even though the President of the Republic will be visiting Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, I will still be present at Sri Akal Takht Sahib,” he stated.

He stated firmly that Sri Akal Takht Sahib Ji comes first and foremost in his life. “Any order received from there will be carried out exactly as written. The command of Sri Akal Takht Sahib was, is, and will always be supreme for me and my family. It is a widely venerated location from which Sikhs derive spiritual calm and strength,” Bhagwant Singh Mann stated.

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal addressed the gathering of elected representatives in Ludhiana, saying, “First and foremost, I congratulate all of you who have been elected in such large numbers as members of the District Councils and Block Committees.” You must be pleased today since the people have given you a new responsibility. The AAP has won more than 70% of the total seats in these elections, which is cause for tremendous pride. “These are your party’s seats.”

The AAP Supremo recalled that the ruling party has usually won Panchayat elections by force and manipulation. “Panchayat elections were held in 2013, one year after the government was founded. Elections were held in 2018, a year after the government took power in 2017. Despite this, there was widespread booth capturing, goondagardi, and coercion, and only then did they triumph,” he stated.

In contrast, Arvind Kejriwal claimed, “Today, after four years of our government, elections for Block Committees and District Councils were held with no coercion whatsoever. Check out the results. There are over 600 seats where candidates won by fewer than 100 votes. The opposition won more than 350 of these seats. In numerous seats, Congress or Akali Dal candidates won by a single vote. Have you ever heard that a ruling party candidate lost by a single vote?”

He also stated that if the AAP had sought to abuse power, it would have been extremely simple. “If we wanted to use coercion, we could have simply contacted the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and had our candidate proclaimed elected. Moving one vote here or there is not difficult. But we didn’t do it. We did not enter politics for this. The AAP was not created to practice coercion, corruption, or goondaism. If that was the purpose, what would the difference be between us and the Congress, BJP, or Akali Dal? “We came to change politics, clean politics, fix politics, and put an end to coercion and goondaism.”

Speaking about Punjab’s long-standing difficulties, the AAP Chief stated, “They disseminate drugs all over Punjab. Who sells drugs? Whether it’s one party or the other, their uncles, brothers, and sons-in-law are selling narcotics, committing crimes, and running gangs. They publicly issue tickets to gangsters. We didn’t come to do this. We arrived to clean the system. We have risked our lives and sacrificed everything. They even sent me to jail for speaking out against them. They assumed Arvind Kejriwal would stop speaking. I emerged and yelled even louder.

He mentioned that Punjab had entirely clean elections. “Not one vote was shifted. People voted for us after four years of rule, despite the great obstacles of administering Punjab. When we took control, there was no money. Punjab has drowned in debt. They stole everything. Salaries were not paid on time previously. In our time, not a single month has passed without salaries being postponed. Everyone receives their salary on time. We are running the government honestly, saving every penny and producing results.”

Arvind Kejriwal listed his successes, saying, “Big things are happening. Electricity has been free. During the previous election, I witnessed individuals receiving electricity bills of ₹10,000 despite having only a modest residence and one fan. People are now receiving zero electricity bills. If this is not a miracle, what is? “The old bills have been waived.”

He explained that the election mandate mirrored performance. “After four years in office, if we win more than 70% of the seats with a 38% vote share, that 38% is a vote for our efforts, not compulsion or corruption. It represents a vote for honesty and decency. “Our party is composed of decent people.”

Arvind Kejriwal called the newly elected lawmakers essential to the future, saying, “Now it is your obligation to increase this 38 percent vote share to 45 percent in the next election. Less than 45% is not acceptable. You must walk from village to hamlet, greeting people with folded hands and without arrogance. Arrogance wrecked the Akali Dal and Congress. If you grow arrogant, we will follow suit. Go to people’s homes and help them with their joys and sorrows, not just in official affairs but also in personal difficulties. “Be their brother and son.”

The AAP leader emphasized the party’s commitment to regular individuals. “The AAP is the party that provides tickets for ordinary people. It is the party in which an ordinary citizen becomes Chief Minister. Bhagwant Singh Mann’s father wasn’t a politician. None of his relatives were politicians. Nevertheless, he became Chief Minister. Although no one in my family was a politician, I was appointed Chief Minister. More than 90% of you are from families with no political background. If you work hard, you can become MLAs or ministers solely on the basis of your performance.”

The AAP National Convenor issued a clear caution against complacency, asserting, “Do not think that Arvind Kejriwal, sitting in Delhi, is unaware of what is going on in Punjab.” We know who works and who does not. You don’t need to flatter anyone, travel to Delhi, or meet Bhagwant Singh Mann. Arvind Kejriwal, the person the people adore and admire for his achievements, would go to his residence and hand him a ticket. You don’t have to ask for it.

He emphasized service over self-interest, saying, “Serve the people. God has given you this opportunity, which very few people obtain. These opportunities are available solely in the AAP. Other parties provide tickets to gangsters and their kin. We’ve never handed tickets to our kids or relatives. “Only those who serve the people receive tickets.”

Arvind Kejriwal reflected on the atmosphere before to 2017, stating, “During Akali Dal and Congress rule, Punjab lived in fear.” False cases were commonplace. People were afraid. We brought an end to that atmosphere. The culture of jhoothe parche (fake cases) and goondagardi has ended. Previously, newspapers were frequently filled with accounts of violence against the Dalit minority. Today, we have successfully prevented such incidents. Today, no one is afraid of the government because they understand it is there to help them.”

On the fight against drugs, the AAP National Convenor stated that the current drug war in Punjab is the outcome of the AAP government’s political will and guts. “People are asking where this anti-drug campaign came from. Who distributed narcotics in Punjab? It was their people. Their aunts and relatives were dealing drugs. One of their most powerful leaders is currently in jail. Previously, neither the police nor the government had the will to even approach him. When we stated he should be imprisoned, only the AAP government was willing to do so since we had decided that Punjab’s young needed to be drug-free,” he claimed.

He said that the administration has taken serious action against drug traffickers. “With courage, we imprisoned major drug smugglers. More than 28,000 cases have been filed, and over 400 drug traffickers are currently incarcerated. The government has started the second phase of the ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’. Go to every hamlet and family starting tomorrow and remind people that if they vote for these parties again, narcotics will return to Punjab and destroy the state altogether. “Do not vote for these parties, even by mistake,” he said.

Arvind Kejriwal stated that getting Punjab out of the drug epidemic has been incredibly challenging. “With enormous courage and work, we are freeing Punjab from drugs. Inform residents that restoring power will result in a return of ₹10,000 in electricity bills. We had a difficult time stabilising Punjab’s finances. “We have managed the state budget and are providing facilities for the people,” he stated.

Regarding public welfare infrastructure, Arvind Kejriwal stated, “In Delhi, I created Mohalla Clinics to provide free healthcare. Now that the BJP has taken power, they are shutting down Mohalla Clinics one at a time. You must have read it in the newspaper. If elected, they will close all Mohalla clinics. If elected, they will close the schools that we have worked so hard to rehabilitate.

He emphasized employment generation, saying, “Today, jobs are being created in Punjab. Previously, every government post could only be secured by bribery or recommendations. CM Bhagwant Singh Mann created 60,000 employment. Show me one individual who claims he acquired a job by paying a bribe. Show me one person who claims they got a job through a recommendation. Children of poor farmers and laborers now earn government employment based only on merit. They are being recruited into the police and administration. For the first time, individuals are receiving honest work.

He recalled how previous protests had become commonplace. “Previously, when Bhagwant Singh Mann and I toured Punjab, we would find teachers and employees sitting on water tanks everywhere. Teachers should be in the classrooms. Today, not a single employee sits on a water tank. “We have met everyone’s expectations,” he stated.

Arvind Kejriwal commented on infrastructure improvements, saying, “Look at the roads being built now. Every village is building high-quality roadways. Approximately 19,000 km of village roads are being developed. Out of Punjab’s total of 64,000 kilometers of roads, 42,000 kilometers are now being built. Roads in villages and cities will be constructed within six months. “You will see for yourself.”

He also discussed the pilgrimage initiative. “We’ve started pilgrimage excursions. From each community, one or two busses depart on pilgrimages. Buses are heading to Darbar Sahib, Durgiana Temple, and the Wagah Border, he said.

On law and order, the AAP Chief stated that, after narcotics, the government will undertake a big fight against gangsters. “Just as we started a war on drugs, we will start a war on gangsters as well. All gangsters and their networks in Punjab will be eradicated. “We will not spare them,” he stated.

Arvind Kejriwal urged the newly elected MPs to take responsibility, saying, “It felt very good to meet all of you today.” As I have stated, we only have one goal. Our current vote share of 38 percent must be increased to 45 percent. This duty now falls on your shoulders. The people have given you the opportunity. Many of you are entering politics for the first time. God has given you this opportunity.

Arvind Kejriwal issued a severe warning, saying, “If you become arrogant, if you begin focusing on making money or engaging in corruption, your political career would be over forever. But if you devote yourself to service, God will lead you far. It is likely that after Mann Sahib, the next Chief Minister of Punjab is seated in this hall today.”

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s vision and dynamism have caused established political parties to rewrite their manifestos and reconsider their goals. “The politics of this country have changed because of Arvind Kejriwal. Only because of AAP have education, health, and power become key issues in political discourse. Previously, no political party had paid attention to these sectors, despite the fact that they are the most important to the average person,” he stated.

Congratulating the newly elected representatives, Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that they won these elections by establishing a direct rapport with the people, noting that local body elections are significantly more difficult than Assembly or Parliamentary elections. “You achieved victory by working among the people. This triumph should serve as a springboard for further political advancement. “I am confident that many of you will run in future Assembly elections,” he remarked, noting that this contrasted sharply with other parties where dynasty politics predominate and tickets are distributed hereditarily.

Bhagwant Singh Mann criticized the Akali Dal, claiming that the party was failing to secure speakers for the next Maghi conference at Sri Muktsar Sahib. “They do not have leaders left to address the people,” he stated, adding that the latest elections were free, fair, and transparent. “That is why the victory margins in several seats were so small. People are flocking to the AAP because of its pro-people principles, whilst some parties have struggled to find candidates because the public is fed up with their divisive politics,” he added.

He praised those who raised their voices for the people and won in the face of fierce competition. “Congress and the Akalis have no agenda.” They are only waiting their moment to return to power. But their aspirations will never come true since people are well aware of their dubious role against Punjab and its people,” he stated.

Addressing the audience, prominent AAP leader and Punjab Prabhari Manish Sisodia stated that the newly elected MPs had been picked by the people and entrusted with enormous duty. “The mandate reflects people’s faith in the pro-people and development-oriented policies of the Punjab Government,” according to him.

Manish Sisodia stated that the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti members have eagerly participated in the second phase of the Yudh Nasheyan Virudh campaign, resulting in a significant success. “The soul of Punjab lives in its villages, and I am confident that you will make every possible effort to ensure their development and prosperity,” according to him.

Manish Sisodia assured complete government assistance, saying there will be no shortage of cash for rural development. “The Punjab government will firmly support you. I urge you to collaborate with panchayats to ensure that all households’ health cards are prepared without delay,” he added.
