Harpreet Sandhu receives Certificate of Honour from CJI Surya Kant for his book on Guru Tegh Bahadur’s spiritual journey at Supreme Court event.

In a prestigious ceremony at the Supreme Court of India, Harpreet Sandhu, State Information Commissioner of Punjab, was presented with a “Certificate of Honour” by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, Mr. Justice Surya Kant. The award recognized his significant contribution to literature through his book, “Spiritual Journey of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.”

The presentation took place during the Constitution Law Day function held at the Supreme Court in New Delhi. The event was attended by eminent dignitaries including the Solicitor General of India, Tushar Mehta, and Hon’ble Judges of the Supreme Court of India, as well as the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA).

The book, “Spiritual Journey of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib,” explores the life, teachings, and spiritual legacy of the ninth Sikh Guru, shedding light on his principles of courage, sacrifice, and devotion. The Chief Justice commended Harpreet Sandhu for his dedication to promoting spiritual knowledge and preserving India’s rich cultural heritage through scholarly work.

Speaking on the occasion, Harpreet Sandhu expressed his gratitude to the Supreme Court and the legal fraternity for the recognition and highlighted the importance of documenting and sharing the spiritual teachings of great historical figures.

The event also underscored the continuing efforts of the judiciary and legal institutions in India to celebrate and promote contributions to literature, culture, and knowledge alongside their commitment to law and justice.
