Punjab Finance Minister Cheema highlights CSR as Capital Small Finance Bank donates Rs 31 lakh to Rangla Punjab Fund for flood relief.

Harpal Singh Cheema, the finance minister for Punjab, emphasized the significance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on Tuesday, saying that all businesses must engage in CSR initiatives in order to be held completely responsible for their effects on society. While officially accepting a sizable donation for the Chief Minister’s Rangla Punjab Fund, the Finance Minister made these statements.

Sarvjit Singh Samra, Managing Director and CEO of Capital Small Finance Bank, gave the contribution—a check for Rs 31 lakh—to the Finance Minister. Finance Minister Cheema praised the Bank’s dedication to social responsibility and praised their kind donation.

Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema emphasized the fund’s vital goal, stating that the money donated to the Chief Minister’s Rangla Punjab Fund is being used expressly to support the families throughout the state who have been impacted by this year’s worst floods. According to him, the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts for these people would be directly aided by this substantial contribution from Capital Small Finance Bank.
