Harpal Singh Cheema approves recruitment of 115 posts in the Homeopathic Department, including HMOs, dispensers, and clerks, to strengthen healthcare services.
The Minister of Finance, Harpal Singh Cheema, made an announcement regarding a significant decision that was made with the intention of bolstering the Homeopathic Department. This decision was made by approving the proposal for the revival and recruitment of various technical and administrative positions. The Minister stated that the Finance Department has approved the revival and subsequent recruitment for a total of 115 posts across various cadres within the department. According to what he said, the purpose of this move is to improve the department’s ability to provide high-quality medical services throughout the state.
This information was disclosed by the Cheema in a press communiqué that was sent in this location. The Cheema stated that the recruitment for 115 positions includes 42 positions for Homeopathic Medical Officers (HMO), 72 positions for Homeopathic Dispensers, and one position for a Clerk. According to him, the process of hiring candidates for these 115 positions would be carried out in stages, with each step taking place over a period of two years.

During the meeting with the Homeopathic Medical Officers Association, this matter was discussed in great detail, according to the Minister of Finance, who is also the chairman of the cabinet subcommittee that was established to handle the issues that have been raised by government personnel. He stated that the Homeopathic department brought attention to its operational limitations, pointing out that despite the fact that it managed the Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital as well as a number of dispensaries at full capacity, it had just 22 permanent positions filled in the past. According to him, the revival is considered to be of utmost importance for the sustained and efficient operation of homeopathic services as well as their expansion.
In addition, he stated that “this initiative marks a decisive step by the Punjab Government towards strengthening its public healthcare infrastructure and creating essential employment opportunities through the creation of employment opportunities.”
