CM Bhagwant Mann meets Mission Pragati students in Bathinda, promoting free coaching and fitness training for competitive exams.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann interact with candidates and students enrolled under Mission Pragati at the District Library in Bathinda on Sunday, reinforcing the Punjab government’s focus on preparing youth for competitive careers. He highlighted the state’s efforts to turn job seekers into job givers by offering free academic and physical training to rural and meritorious students for recruitment exams, including the SSB, police, and armed forces.

Speaking to students under Mission Pragati at Bathinda’s District Library, CM Mann greeted those in attendance in spite of the cold and characterized the event as the start of a promising future for Punjab’s youth. In order to prepare for competitive exams, the Punjab government has introduced a free coaching program called Mission Pragati at the District Library. The goal is to help deserving students who don’t have access to good and reasonably priced coaching facilities, particularly those from remote locations,” he stated.

According to the Chief Minister, 40 pupils have been registered in the first batch of the program, which explains its structure. In addition to academic guidance, students receive physical training to ensure optimal fitness. At the C-Pyte ground, skilled teacher trainers from Punjab Police and C-Pyte are conducting this physical training. Students who complete this program will be ready for the Armed Forces, Punjab Police, SSB, CPO, and other national and state recruitment exams,” he continued.

In reference to the difficulties experienced by candidates in the competitive setting, CM stated that costly books and necessary study materials are frequently beyond of students’ price range. The necessary books will be given to students at no cost and they will be registered as library members. Significant financial savings have resulted from the program’s debut using already-existing infrastructure and resources, he emphasized.

The program has a teacher-mentor format, according to CM, who also described the mentoring framework. Faculty members are candidates who have taken competitive exams. Education experts, academic institutions, law enforcement, athletes, administrative staff, students, and other facets of society support this project, which has become a “youth helping youth” paradigm. The Chief Minister said, “The program has become a community-driven and cooperative model as a result of this collective participation.”

The Chief Minister highlighted Mission Pragati’s guiding principles, saying that they are based on the idea of “no one left behind” and demonstrate a dedication to equal educational opportunities, youth empowerment, and boosting the number of Bathinda students working in government.

Mann thanked everyone in attendance for their support, underlined the government’s commitment to Punjab’s overall growth and the prosperity of its citizens, and expressed confidence that the initiative would greatly help schoolchildren.

Speaking on the state government’s overarching goals, the Chief Minister stated that persistent efforts are being made to change young people’s futures by turning them into employment providers rather than job seekers. “A new era of education revolution has begun in Punjab, and it is producing results by preparing students for competitions in the future and empowering them to succeed in life. In addition to parallel efforts to channel their limitless energy, unprecedented measures have been launched to give the youth jobs,” he said.

Mann used the comparison that the state government is establishing the conditions for young people to realize their aspirations, just as a runway allows an airplane to take off effortlessly. While acknowledging that it was depressing that poor children were once denied the opportunity to receive an education due to faulty policies, the Chief Minister said that resolute efforts are currently being made to guarantee that Punjabi children can realize their aspirations and achieve greater things in life.
