CM Bhagwant Mann begins a 10-day Japan trip to attract investment and promote the Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit scheduled for March in Mohali

To encourage corporate leaders to invest in Punjab,( Chief Minister ),CM Bhagwant Mann will begin a 10-day trip to Japan on Monday in advance of the Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit, which is set for March of next year.

In order to promote Punjab and urge their participation in the summit, Mann will head a high-level official trip to Tokyo and Sapporo, where he will meet with representatives from two prominent Japanese corporations and other possible investors.

According to official sources, key bureaucrats and Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora will accompany the CM. The expansion of current sectors, the introduction of new technology, and the attraction of new investors would be the main topics of discussion during the visit, they added. The journey is a component of the state government’s global outreach initiatives leading up to the summit, which is scheduled for March 13–15 in Mohali.

The visit comes after the CM negotiated for strategic partnerships with Japan in important areas of advanced manufacturing, mobility, electronics, food processing, renewable energy, and global services with a Japanese delegation last week that included representatives from the Embassy of Japan, JETRO, JCCII, and more than 25 major Japanese companies operating throughout India, including Panasonic, Sumitomo, Nippon, NEC, Toyota, and others. Citing the faith that a number of top corporations have already placed in the state, Mann also warmly invited Japanese businesses to participate in Punjab’s next stage of industrial development during the virtual meeting.
