Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, during a press conference, made strong remarks addressing issues related to peace, law and order, and recent developments linked to the Sri Akal Takht Sahib controversy. He emphasized that Punjab’s social harmony is of utmost importance and any attempt to disturb it will not be tolerated.
The Sri Akal Takht Sahib controversy was referred to in the context of allegations and counter-allegations surrounding attempts to mislead people and spread false narratives. CM Mann stated that citizens are well aware of such actions and the truth is already understood by the public.

During the briefing, the Chief Minister also said that those involved in creating unrest or conspiracies linked to the Sri Akal Takht Sahib controversy or any religious institution will face strict action. He added that Punjab has already rejected divisive politics and continues to stand firmly for peace and unity.
CM Mann Reiterates Zero-Tolerance Policy Against Anti-Social Elements Amid Sri Akal Takht Sahib Controversy
CM Mann further stressed that Punjab has zero tolerance for anti-social elements. He reiterated that any attempt to misuse religious platforms or create confusion around the Sri Akal Takht Sahib controversy will be dealt with firmly under the law.

The Chief Minister also highlighted that the Punjab government is in continuous coordination with central agencies, including the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs, to take action against individuals operating from outside the state or abroad who may be linked to such controversies, including the Sri Akal Takht Sahib controversy.
He concluded by reaffirming that Punjab’s priority remains peace, security, and communal harmony, and no force will be allowed to disturb stability in the state amid the ongoing Sri Akal Takht Sahib controversy.
