Punjab AAP President Aman Arora criticizes PM Modi and BJP for skipping the 350th Shahidi Samaroh of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.

Today, Punjab President Mr. Aman Arora of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) for their “deliberate and telling absence” from the conclusion of the month-long ‘Shahidi Samaroh’ in Punjab, which commemorates the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.

Speaking at a press conference held here at Punjab Bhawan on Wednesday, Aman Arora conveyed his profound disappointment and dismay, saying that the BJP’s leadership showed a “blatant disregard” for the Ninth Sikh Guru’s sacrifice, which included giving His life to defend Hindus’ religious freedom and fundamental rights, even though he personally invited him to do so.

According to Aman Arora, the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, planned the memorial festivities as a completely non-political way to teach the next generation about the unmatched sacrifice made by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. “We deliberately kept it entirely non-political since the Ninth Guru Sahib’s martyrdom is so significant that politics should not tarnish it. “The goal was to transcend all social, political, and religious boundaries,” Mr. Aman Arora continued.

He disclosed that a broad range of leaders, including the Prime Minister, the President of India, all Union Ministers, and Chief Ministers, received invitations. “We personally invited them through Cabinet Ministers. We kept quiet about it up until now in the hopes that they would visit Sri Anandpur Sahib, the holy site, to pay their respects to Guru Sahib. However, I can say with certainty that they have revealed their genuine selves today,” Aman Arora stated.

Prime Minister Modi was in Kurukshetra, which is only a 12- to 15-minute flight to Sri Anandpur Sahib, Aman Arora pointed out when questioning the prime minister. He did not, however, come to pay his respects. I think he ought to be embarrassed.

The BJP’s portrayal of PM Modi as a “Vishwa Guru” and his failure to honor the “actual World Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji” were sharply contrasted by the AAP, Punjab President. Any last uncertainty has been eliminated by just one action. He went on to say that it has revealed the extent of the animosity they harbor for Punjab, Punjabiyat, and the Sikh people.

Arora presented the BJP’s absence as an insult to the country, which Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji rescued, as well as to Sikhs. “This goes beyond simply disagreeing with Guru Sahib Ji’s ideology. It is disrespectful to the 500 Kashmiri Pandit brothers who trekked 500 kilometers from Srinagar to Sri Anandpur Sahib in search of a sanctuary with Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

Arora urged the Prime Minister to study the teachings of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, saying, “Hindustan today would not exist if Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji had not been martyred. Furthermore, you wouldn’t be qualified to lead Hindustan if it didn’t exist.” He stated, “If you read just one page of the Ninth Guru Ji’s philosophy and implement it, then Nuh and Manipur like tragedies, in which hundreds of human lives were lost, would never happen.”

Aman Arora criticized the BJP’s “petty mindset” and said, “Their absence speaks volumes – a disrespect to Sikh history & the sacrifice of Guru Sahib Ji.” The BJP needs to reflect, purge bigotry, and perceive India as Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji intended.
