Punjab Appoints 11 New Agriculture Development Officers to Boost Farm Sector
In a significant move to strengthen Punjab’s farming sector, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian handed over appointment letters to 11 new Agriculture Development Officers (ADOs) at his office on Thursday.

Gurmeet Singh Khudian’s life story, marked by the unresolved disappearance of his father in 1989 and his electoral win over former CM Parkash Singh Badal in 2022, adds depth to his leadership. His ongoing focus on farmer welfare connects with current farmer movements and policy discussions.
The Agriculture Department has set ambitious goals, including promoting sustainable practices, managing pests in a more integrated way, and diversifying crops.
