CM Dr. Mohan Yadav attended the National Balrang Festival 2025 in Bhopal, celebrating unity and folk culture with schoolchildren from 14 states.

Today, at 4 p.m., Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will be present at the National Balrang Festival concluding ceremony at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya campus in Bhopal. Shri Uday Pratap Singh, the Minister of School Education, will also be there.

At 10:30 am on the same day, the Manav Sangrahalaya will host the National Balrang Festival. Folk dance groups of schoolchildren from 14 states—Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Punjab, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and five Union Territories—Puducherry, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Chandigarh, and Lakshadweep—will perform at this event, showcasing their local cultures.

The notion of national unity lies at the heart of the Balrang celebration. Students from all around India take part and showcase their states’ unique folk cultures and traditions through their artistic performances. Children from different areas share cultures, which promotes tranquility and national unity.

A cash prize of Rs 1,11,000 will be awarded to the winning team, Rs 75,000 to the second-place team, and Rs 51,000 to the third-place team. Consolation rewards worth Rs 21,000 will be awarded to two chosen teams.
