MP marks Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 101st birth anniversary with “Nivesh Se Rojgar – Atal Sankalp” exhibition at Gwalior. The event showcased industrial growth, start-ups, and One District–One Product initiatives.
An exhibition with the theme “Nivesh Se Rojgar – Atal Sankalp” was held at the location of the “Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit” in the historic city of Gwalior to commemorate the 101st anniversary of the birth of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister for Home and Cooperative Shri Amit Shah, the summit’s principal guest, attended and evaluated the exhibit. Along with other public officials, the event was attended by Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Speaker of the MP Legislative Assembly Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, senior MLA and State BJP President Shri Hemant Khandelwal, and others.
The Life Story of the Late Atal Ji, Who Was Committed to Nation-Building
The life story of the late Prime Minister Atal Ji, who was deeply committed to patriotism and made significant contributions to the development of the country, was vividly depicted in the exhibition. The exhibition successfully demonstrated his visionary leadership, the Integral Humanism concept, and his determination to establish India as a developed nation via his poems, stirring speeches, and political journey. Historical turning points like the Golden Quadrilateral project and the Pokhran nuclear tests were also highlighted, emphasizing his crucial role in fortifying and developing the country.

Highlights of Industrial Progress
Madhya Pradesh’s economic and industrial advancements were also highlighted at the exhibition. The Singaji Thermal Power Project, the Eleczar PVC plywood factory at Malanpur in Bhind, the Pithampur Auto Hub, and the Bhopal Food Park were among the state’s major industrial developments that were highlighted. Additionally, innovation, entrepreneurship, and new opportunities were emphasized by success stories of start-ups operating in industries including agri-tech and drone technology.
One District—One Product Displayed
Products including Mandsaur opium, Maihar handicrafts, and Chhindwara Tinkira rice were on display as part of the “One District–One Product” (ODOP) campaign. Lahsunia Lal Chana from Vidisha, Kakad Haat rice from Balaghat, locally made mustard-based goods, GI-tagged Gajak from Morena, and the well-known GI-tagged bell metal work of Datia were among the GI-tagged items on display.
In addition to showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s consistent progress towards sustainable and equitable development through industrial expansion, innovation, and the promotion of local products, the summit display powerfully conveyed the Atal resolve to link investment with jobs.
