The daughters of the Blind Women’s T20 World Cup 2025 winning squad, according to Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel, are a representation of women’s emancipation. They are a great example of the bravery and inner power of those with impairments,” he remarked of their triumph. Every resident of the nation is inspired and proud of the daughters’ accomplishment, and the visually impaired female athletes have elevated Madhya Pradesh and India to international prominence with their exceptional performances.”
Governor Patel was meeting with three members of the Madhya Pradesh national blind women’s T20 team: Ms. Sushma Patel, Ms. Sunita Sarathe, and Ms. Durga Yewale, in Lok Bhavan. Giving shawls and souvenirs to each of the three players, he congratulated them and their coach and wished them luck in their promising future.

On November 23, 2025, the Indian women’s blind cricket team made history by defeating Nepal in the first-ever T20 World Cup final, which was hosted in Colombo. Three gifted Madhya Pradesh players were on the national team: Ms. Durga Yewale from Betul district, Ms. Sushma Patel from Damoh district, and Ms. Sunita Sarathe from Narmadapuram district.
