Madhya Pradesh ranks #1 in the State Mining Readiness Index 2025, recognized for top mineral auctions and sustainable mining under CM Dr. Mohan Yadav’s leadership.

Madhya Pradesh has once again shown that it is the best in the country when it comes to mining. The Union Ministry of Mines put out the State Mining Readiness Index and State Rankings on Thursday. This success is due to the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who made it a priority to turn the mining sector into a responsible and industrial growth hub. It shows that the state government has been successful in making changes, bringing the mining industry up to date, and making it more environmentally friendly.

The State Mining Readiness Index puts states into three groups based on how much mineral reserves they have. The best three states in Category A are Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. Goa, Uttar Pradesh, and Assam are the top three states in Category B. Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Tripura are the top three states in Category C.
