MP CM Dr. Yadav directs universities to adopt world‑class standards and introduce employment‑oriented courses.
CM Dr. Yadav has declared that all university campuses and other higher education institutions should be upgraded to a world-class standard. The development of all of these institutions should be modeled after the IITs, IIMs, and other national institutions. According to the Chief Minister, universities and colleges should implement employment-oriented and multipurpose courses.
Dr. Yadav, the Chief Minister, was conducting a review meeting to discuss the development of new employment-oriented subjects in all universities and institutions. The following individuals are members of the government: Shri Inder Singh Parmar, Minister for Higher Education and Technical Education, Shri Lakhan Patel, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Shri Narendra Shivaji Patel, Minister of State for Public Health and Medical Education, Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education, Shri Anupam Rajan, Shri Umakant Umrao, Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry, and Shri Narendra Shivaji Patel, principal secretary of public health and medical education. Shri Sandeep Yadav, Shri Manish Singh, Principal Secretary Sports and Youth Welfare, Vice Chancellors of all universities, higher educationists, and senior executives of the relevant departments were in attendance.
According to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the Maharishi Panini Sanskrit and Vedic University in Ujjain should also conduct research on the Ayurvedic medical system. This university should be given serious consideration in order to become an Ayurvedic University, and a decision should be made. He stated that the conversion of Panini University into an Ayurvedic University would broaden its extent and encompass more than 50 Ayurvedic colleges in the state. This would constitute a substantial advancement.
Dr. Yadav, the Chief Minister, has mandated that all university recruitments be subject to a time limit and that all recruitment and appointment processes be finalized as soon as feasible. The Additional Chief Secretary responded by announcing that advertisements have been published to replace vacant positions at numerous universities throughout the state. Currently, recruitment for 1,585 additional positions in these categories is underway, and 364 positions for Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor are vacant.
Dr. Yadav, the Chief Minister, inquired about the admission process for nursing and paramedical colleges. Shri Rajan, the Additional Chief Secretary, is informed that the Nursing Council has commenced admissions for the 2025-26 academic session. The Paramedical Council has announced that the accreditation process for the 2025-26 academic session will commence within the next month. NOCs for paramedical and nursing courses will be issued by regional universities that are recognized and at the Directorate level of the Higher Education Department. The Public Health and Medical Education Department has been granted 70 acres of land in the village of Kalyanpura by the Higher Education Department for the purpose of establishing a medical college in Jhabua. He reported this information. He disclosed that Devi Ahilya University, Indore, has submitted an application for authorization to utilize the District Hospital, Jhabua, as a teaching hospital for the proposed medical college.
Universities are required to develop a five-year plan.
The Vice Chancellors of all universities were instructed by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav to develop a five-year roadmap for their respective institutions. The Chief Minister encouraged all Vice Chancellors to incorporate employment-oriented subjects and degree courses into their universities, including animal husbandry, in order to advance agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, tourism, mining, aviation, and dairy production. In addition to teaching their students, he encouraged universities to foster entrepreneurship. It is imperative that agricultural universities offer their students an introduction to organic cultivation. It is imperative that they are motivated to implement natural farming practices. The Chief Minister requested that all universities disclose the number of employment-oriented courses they have established, the number of students who have enrolled in them, and the number of students they have employed or placed.
The Chief Minister encouraged all universities to recognize the requirements of industrial campuses in their respective regions and to develop new and advanced courses that are specifically designed to meet their needs. This will allow students to pursue their education and secure employment in their immediate vicinity.
In addition Shri Anupam Rajan, the Chief Secretary of Higher Education, has announced that Devi Ahilya University, Indore, is currently offering a three-year BBA Aviation Course. Approximately 30 students have enlisted in it. Furthermore, the BSc Aviation program has been implemented at Barkatullah University, Bhipat, Jiwaji University, Gwalior, Samrat Vikramaditya University, Ujjain, and Chitrakoot University, Chitrakoot. He provided information that 384 research centers are currently operational in all government colleges and universities in the state. Numerous new research centers are to be established. In all universities and colleges, Indian Knowledge Tradition Cells have been established.

The annual calendar of government universities now includes a regular activity of organizing excursions of monuments of national significance for students. He disclosed that the State Assessment and Accreditation Council (SAC) has been established upon the paradigm of a bank. The current financial year marks the commencement of the digital evaluation of answer papers in all universities and government autonomous colleges in the state. The recruitment and appointment processes for all vacant positions in universities are advancing at a rapid pace.
In addition According to the Chief Secretary of Higher Education, 38 projects have been approved in three universities of the state at a total cost of ₹326 crore under the Prime Minister’s Usha Project, which is being implemented to develop infrastructure in universities. All of these initiatives are advancing at an accelerated pace. The labor money from the project is being used to complete construction projects, including the expansion of agricultural institute buildings, the construction of an auditorium, and the upgrading of laboratories and girls’ hostels at three universities.
