Haryana to develop SIRTAR Rohtak with modern facilities, therapy, and training for disabled children; govt supports national-level institute plans.

The State Institute for Rehabilitation, Research and Training, ( SIRTAR Rohtak ) will be built as a cutting-edge institution, according to Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare and Antyodaya (SEWA) Minister Sh. Krishan Bedi. He stated that in order for SIRTAR to be acknowledged as a significant institution at the national level, it will be furnished with both contemporary amenities and a solid foundation.

Sh. Krishan Bedi presided over the seventh meeting of the Governing Body, which included representatives from the State Rehabilitation, Training and Research Institute (SIRTAR, Rohtak) in Chandigarh. According to him, SIRTAR will also provide services for children with disabilities, including early diagnosis, evaluation, therapy, and treatment. In addition, the institute will be established as the state’s go-to resource for any issues pertaining to disabled children.

The Minister also instructed the officers to produce a draft for the institute’s upcoming new courses. He promised complete financial support and collaboration from the state government in this area, and he talked with the officers about creating a roadmap to introduce SIRTAR to the national arena. During the meeting, it was also resolved to register long-time SIRTAR staff in Groups C and D under the Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam.

For many years, SIRTAR Rohtak, the State Institute for therapeutic, Research, and Training, has worked to integrate children with special needs into society by offering both educational and therapeutic services. The institute works in the fields of disability rehabilitation and special education.
