Senior citizens and institutions can apply online by Jan 12, 2026, for Haryana’s Old Persons Awards with cash prizes up to Rs 1 lakh.

The government of Haryana is always taking proactive measures to respect senior citizens and capitalize on their knowledge of constructing society. In order to honor senior persons and advance their wellbeing, applications have been accepted under the State Award For Old Persons Scheme for the years 2025–2026.

According to a spokesperson for the Haryana Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare and Antyodaya (Seva) Department, the program will honor and support elderly people who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in areas like social service, art, sports, and bravery.

According to the spokesman, senior painters, sculptors, singers, athletes, and recipients of the Centenarian Award, Best Mother, Courage and Bravery, and Lifetime Achievement will all get honors under this program. The Best Panchayat, Best Voluntary Organization, Best Old Age Home, and Best Day Care Center will also receive honors.

The first prize in the sports and art categories will be Rs. 20,000, the second will be Rs. 30,000, and the third will be Rs. 50,000, according to the award system. Similar to this, the first reward in institutional categories like Best Panchayat and NGO would be Rs. 1,00,000, followed by Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000 for second and third place, respectively.

The spokesperson added that interested parties or organizations can apply online through the department’s site, https://award.socialjusticehry-gov.in, until 11:59 p.m. on January 12, 2026, along with certificates and documentation of their accomplishments. Institutions or individuals who have won this prize within the last three years will not be allowed to reapply in the same category.
