Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini promotes local artisans and women SHGs at Saras Aajeevika Mela 2025, launching Sanjha Bazaar & Swaapan Digital Gram Bazar portals.
In order to promote small business owners, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini encouraged the public to prioritize buying from local artisans. Haryana Chief Minister Saini spoke at the “Saras Aajeevika Mela 2025” concluding ceremony on Sunday at Panchkula’s Parade Ground.
He had previously visited booths manned by women’s self-help groups (SHGs), craftspeople, and artisans from different states. The chief minister praised their abilities and stated that the “Vocal for Local” campaign and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” vision are strengthened by the manufacture of swadeshi (indigenous) items.
The chief minister urged female entrepreneurs to create things that will compete fiercely with imported goods in terms of quality.

In celebration, CM Saini unveiled the Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission’s Sanjha Bazaar Sales Portal and Swaapan Digital Gram Bazar Portal. Products made by SHGs in the state will be shown and sold globally through the portal, which will serve as an integrated e-commerce platform. We will be able to register products, take orders, track sales, and connect with clients on a state and national level thanks to this.
SHGs will have ongoing market access, stall allocation transparency, real-time sales tracking, and product performance data thanks to the Sanjha Bazaar platform. In addition to this, it will incorporate the operations of mall kiosks, Saras Mela stalls, canteens, village shops, and bus stand shops.
Saini also praised the women’s robust turnout at the event, pointing out that it has become a major forum for their empowerment. He claimed that SHGs had been instrumental in promoting women’s economic independence nationwide.
According to the chief minister, the Haryana State Rural Livelihood Mission was created by the state government to support these (local/artisanal) industries. Its goal is to assist impoverished rural families in raising their standard of living and assimilating into society.
The state’s livelihood initiative has connected 60,554 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with 5.98 lakh families, according to Saini. A total of Rs 547.89 crore in soft loans, revolving funds, and community investment funds have been given to these groups.

According to him, the Drone Didi program also trains women to fly drones in agriculture and other fields. He claimed that 100 ladies had already received drones.
According to Saini, women are the foundation of society and have made an equal contribution to the advancement of the state.
For this reason, Haryana is now regarded as one of the nation’s most advanced states. The operation of 151 Vita (dairy cooperative) sales locations across the state has been fully entrusted to women in an effort to further empower them and encourage self-reliance,” he stated.
Attendees included former Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Choudhry, craftsmen, and SHG members from other states.
