PM Modi attends 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in Kurukshetra. Haryana hosts prayers, yatras, blood drives, and cultural tributes.

A really momentous event occurred in the holy region of the Gurus and Gita. In Jyotisar, Kurukshetra, Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi attended a large commemorative assembly hosted by the Haryana Government for the 350th ShaheediDiwas of “Hind Di Chadar” Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

Union Power Minister Sh Manohar Lal, Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh, Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini, Union Minister of State for Cooperation Sh Krishan Pal Gurjar, Union Minister of State for Culture Rao Inderjit Singh, a number of state ministers, MPs, MLAs, and a large contingent of devotees attended the solemn event.

Prayers in the revered presence of the Guru Granth Sahib and the stirring invocation, “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh,” kicked off the celebration.

Speaking to the sangat, the Chief Minister bowed in respect to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s unmatched sacrifice and said that his bravery and values had instilled a sense of fearlessness in future generations. He conveyed his appreciation to the Prime Minister for selecting Haryana to honor the esteemed Guru.

Through statewide programs, Guru Sahib’s message was disseminated throughout Haryana.

According to the Chief Minister, the state government organized a number of programs in partnership with the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee to spread the teachings of the Guru Sahib to every home. Four holy yatras were removed from Rori, Pinjore, Faridabad, and Sadhaura (Yamunanagar) starting on November 1. 27,000 units of blood were collected from 350 blood donation camps spread around the state in observance of the 350th Shaheedi Diwas. 3.5 lakh kids participated in essay contests about the life of Guru Sahib in Sanskrit, Hindi, Punjabi, and English held by schools throughout Haryana. In a similar vein, 350 kids competed in trilingual storytelling.

According to him, the government has decided to create a special chair on the life, philosophy, and contributions of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, and a national seminar was held at Chaudhary Devi Lal University in Sirsa. In addition, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji has been honored with a new name for Government Polytechnic, Ambala. The Chief Minister further mentioned that more than 80,000 persons participated in the Karnal “Hind Di Chadar” marathon.

“To honor the supreme sacrifice of Dada Kushal Singh Dahiya Ji, who offered his own head so that the Guru’s sacred head could reach Anandpur Sahib with dignity,” he said, a state-level ceremony was held at Badkhalsa.

near addition, the government has made the decision to create a forest at Kalesar near Yamunanagar in honor of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. In the Wildlife Conservation Block, where a dedicated Dwar named after the Guru has been constructed, 350 seedlings have already been planted with students.

Paying tribute to the Gurus via national programs and Haryana’s own contributions

Prime Minister Modi’s efforts at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 400th Prakash Purab under the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” including the issuance of a commemorative coin and stamp, were recognized by Sh. Nayab Singh Saini. The Kartarpur Sahib Corridor was made possible by the Prime Minister’s leadership, allowing 1,739 pilgrims from Haryana to travel to Nankana Sahib.

During the unrest in Afghanistan in 2021, the Prime Minister made sure that three of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s esteemed Saroops were safely airlifted to India. As a result of his efforts, “Veer Bal Diwas” is celebrated annually throughout the country in remembrance of the Sahibzadas, who were the sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and were Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh.

The Chief Minister stated that these efforts have been fully implemented by the state administration in Haryana. The state has witnessed fervent celebrations of the 400th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the 350th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and the 550th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He stated that “Hind Di Chadar” Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji shall be honored with the name of the future medical college in Yamunanagar.

The Chief Minister also emphasized the government’s humanitarian choice to honor the suffering and tenacity of the 121 families who lost members in the 1984 riots by giving one member of each family a job. Additionally, Gurdwara Sri Chilla Sahib, Sirsa, where the First Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, once graced the planet with His presence, has been awarded 70 kanals (8 acres 6 kanals) of land.

Haryana is also the land of the Gurus, according to the chief minister. We are still dedicated to using their timeless message, principles, and teachings to motivate our next generation. This Shaheedi Diwas congregation is a part of that endeavor.

Anubhav Kendra—making the Mahabharata era come to life for the world

The Gita’s message is ingrained in every Haryanvi’s psyche, the Chief Minister noted. Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi promised to recognize Kurukshetra as the hallowed place of the Gita when he visited the region on October 6, 2014. Motivated by this determination, Haryana started commemorating the International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra in 2016. Four nations and six Indian states participated, and there were also celebrations in six other countries.

The Prime Minister opened the Anubhav Kendra on this sacred site today, giving everyone a chance to experience the Mahabharata era in a real and realistic way.

He stated that he also uncovered Bhagwan Sri Krishna’s “Panchjanya,” a sacred conch.
