Haryana–Japan Investment Partnership : Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini recently held a significant meeting with Toshihiro Suzuki, CEO of Suzuki Motor Corporation, marking a major step forward in strengthening international cooperation and industrial development in the state. The discussion focused on expanding future investments, boosting industrial growth, and enhancing cultural and economic collaboration between Haryana and Japan.
A central outcome of the meeting was the renewed emphasis on the Haryana–Japan Investment Partnership, which both sides agreed to further deepen in the coming years. The Chief Minister highlighted Haryana’s rapidly growing industrial ecosystem and its emerging position as a preferred destination for global investors. He stressed that the Haryana–Japan Investment Partnership will play a crucial role in accelerating manufacturing, technology transfer, and employment generation in the state.

During the talks, both parties discussed long-term investment opportunities, with special attention to the automobile sector, where Suzuki Motor already has a strong presence in India. The Chief Minister invited the company to expand its footprint in Haryana, underlining that theHaryana–Japan Investment Partnership aligns with India’s broader vision of becoming a global manufacturing hub.
Another key aspect of the meeting was cultural collaboration. A proposal was put forward to organize the Gita Jayanti festival in Japan, aimed at strengthening cultural ties between Haryana and Japan. This initiative is also seen as a soft-power extension of the Haryana–Japan Investment Partnership , blending economic cooperation with cultural exchange to build stronger bilateral relations.

The Chief Minister also extended a formal invitation to Toshihiro Suzuki to attend the international Gita seminar scheduled at the University of Tokyo on June 20. His participation as a distinguished guest is expected to further enhance the visibility of the Haryana Japan investment partnership on the global stage and reinforce mutual goodwill.
