Haryana Day 2025 celebrations in Panchkula feature folk arts, heritage exhibitions, traditional cuisine, dance & ragini competitions with cash prizes.

The Haryana Government will hold State-Level Haryana Day Celebrations on the State’s Foundation Day from November 1 to 3, 2025, in Yavanika Ground, Sector 5, Panchkula. Governor Sh. Ashim Kumar Ghosh will start the three-day celebration, which will also be attended by Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini. The event will be attended by state ministers, top officials, artists, and a huge number of civilians.

During the celebrations, college students from around the state will compete in Group Dance and Ragini competitions. Outstanding achievers will receive cash rewards of lakhs of rupees. The first award will be Rs one lakh. The Chief Minister will return to the location on November 3 to distribute awards to the winners.

Showcasing Haryana’s heritage

On the other side of the stage in Yavanika Garden, a Heritage Exhibition will be held to showcase Haryana’s traditional culture, costume, agricultural tools, folk art, and handicrafts. The goal of this exhibition is to connect the younger generation to the state’s cultural roots. Visitors will get an insight into Haryana’s centuries-old cultural history.

Traditional Cuisine and Special Turban Stall

At the festival area, stalls of Haryana’s traditional delicacies will be set up, allowing guests to savor the true taste of Haryanvi cuisine. Desi ghee boora, bajra roti, sarson ka saag, and a variety of chutneys will be offered, as well as many other traditional dishes. In addition, a special Haryanvi turban (khandwa) stall will be set up where locals can have the turban tied around themselves.

Welcome with Folk Musical Instruments!

Guests and people will be greeted with the melodic sounds of traditional folk instruments such as been, nagada, tumbe, dhol, and others. The entire arena will exude the colorful spirit of folk culture.

This three-day State-Level Haryana Day Celebration will revitalize Haryana’s beautiful traditions, folk art, and culture, serving as a source of joy and pride for the state’s people.

Participation by both ruling and opposition parties

Invitations have been sent to all MLAs and representatives of the ruling and opposition parties. According to the spokesperson, the Chief Minister views this as a celebration for all of Haryana. The spokesperson added that any government or private college in the state can participate in this event by sending students to compete in the song, ragini, and group dance categories. Only one team from each college will be able to compete in the group dance and singing categories. The rules that apply to the Youth Festival will also apply to these competitions.
