Chandigarh: Haryana has achieved a significant milestone in Haryana Cybercrime Control, recording a 31% recovery of funds lost in cyber fraud cases through the Money Restoration Module. The achievement reflects the state’s strengthened efforts to combat digital financial crimes and provide timely relief to victims.

According to information shared by the Haryana Government on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the Money Restoration Module has enabled faster coordination between law enforcement agencies, banks, and financial institutions, resulting in improved recovery of defrauded funds.

Money Restoration Module Boosts Fund Recovery

The Money Restoration Module has emerged as a key tool in Haryana Cybercrime Control, helping authorities trace and restore money lost in cyber fraud. The 31% recovery rate highlights the effectiveness of technology-driven policing and swift action against financial cybercrime.

Officials believe the system has significantly improved the response time for handling cyber fraud complaints, ensuring better outcomes for affected citizens.

Over 14,000 Illegal Online Contents Removed

As part of its ongoing Haryana Cybercrime Control campaign, the state removed more than 14,000 illegal online contents during the first half of 2026. These included fraudulent websites, phishing links, fake social media profiles, and other online content used to facilitate cybercrime.

The removal of such content is expected to reduce the risk of online scams and strengthen digital safety for internet users across the state.

Nearly 4,000 Cyber Criminals Arrested
