Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday conducted a detailed review of electricity wire and pole management under the Public Works Department (PWD) and state power utilities. During the meeting, he also assessed the Haryana Registered Vehicle Scrapping and Recycling Facility Incentive Policy–2024, aimed at promoting eco-friendly vehicle recycling and a modern scrapping industry in the state.
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Urges Improved Electricity Pole Safety Along Roads
During the review, CM Nayab Singh Saini directed officials to ensure that electricity poles along roads are installed at safe distances and comply with all safety standards. He emphasized the immediate removal of damaged, unsafe, or unused poles to prevent accidents and support ongoing road development projects. The Chief Minister highlighted that proper coordination between PWD and power utilities is critical to ensure timely project execution and avoid overlapping works.

The Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini also reviewed the Haryana Registered Vehicle Scrapping and Recycling Facility Incentive Policy–2024, designed to modernize the vehicle recycling sector. This policy aims to attract investments in vehicle scrapping facilities, create employment opportunities, and ensure environmentally responsible disposal of end-of-life vehicles.
Officials explained that the scheme encourages scientific and eco-friendly methods for scrapping vehicles, aligning with Haryana’s broader goal of promoting sustainable development. CM Nayab Singh Saini stressed that facilitating citizens with maximum benefits while efficiently utilizing state resources remains a top priority.
