Haryana Cabinet approves Teachers’ Transfer Policy 2025, ensuring fair school placements, merit-based scoring, and transparent transfers for educators.

The Haryana Cabinet, which met  with Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini in charge, approved the Teachers’ Transfer Policy, 2025. This policy is very similar to the Model Online Transfer Policy. It is suggested that the new policy take the place of the current Teachers Transfer Policy – 2023.

The instructors’ Transfer Policy, 2025 is to make sure that instructors and school heads are deployed in a fair and open way that is based on demand and fairness, while also protecting the academic interests of students.

The new regulation gets rid of the idea of zoning, which means that teachers can now choose any school directly.

However, the Teacher Transfer Policy, 2023 still allows RoH cadre instructors to choose to work in the districts of Nuh, Hathin, and Morni block. Teachers who are part of the Mewat Cadre cannot be sent to work outside of the cadre.

The total composite score each teacher gets, out of 80 points, will determine which schools they get. Age will be the most important element, with a maximum weight of 60 points. For teachers who work with women, women-headed households, widows, widowers, people with disabilities, teachers with serious illnesses, or couples, there is a maximum of 20 points.

A 10-point reduction has also been added for the teacher throughout the time of the main penalty. Teachers who are unhappy with transfer decisions can file complaints with the appropriate authority for resolution. Lastly, the unique five merit points for couple cases will henceforth be offered to one employee, no matter how far away the spouse is from the job site.
