Haryana Revenue Dept under Dr. Sumita Misra launches FIFO system and “View Jamabandi” portal for faster, transparent land document approvals.

According to Dr. Sumita Misra, the Financial Commissioner for Revenue and Disaster Management Department, the department has implemented a First-In First-Out (FIFO) system for document approval in order to expedite and improve transparency in property documents. This ensures that citizens receive services in a methodical and timely manner.

After reviewing the status of many departmental programs in a virtual meeting with the state’s Deputy Commissioners, she disseminated this information.

The Registrar Chief and Sub-Registrars will now approve documents strictly in sequence, processing them one at a time in the order they are received, according to Dr. Misra, who also explained that the FIFO System ensures sequential processing under the new system. This approach removes any chance of bias or excessive delay in the verification process by ensuring that applications filed earlier would be verified first. The sequential method gives the entire process much-needed openness.

The FIFO approach, according to Dr. Misra, solves long-standing issues with processing delays and offers our operations a level of transparency never before seen. Now, citizens can be guaranteed that their applications will be processed methodically and that everyone involved will be held accountable at every turn. The agency is also launching a technology tool called “View Jamabandi,” which will be enabled on the portal and remove the need for citizens to upload copies of their land records.

This move immediately addresses issues with the existing method, where citizens have been uploading Jamabandi files that are between 400 and 500 pages long, putting undue burden on our server infrastructure and using up important computer resources. Officials may now access verified land records in real time straight from our revenue database thanks to the new system, which guarantees accuracy and significantly speeds up processing. This innovation provides several benefits: officials have instant access to the most recent land records, removing the risk of outdated information; citizens are relieved of the laborious task of downloading and uploading large documents, which is especially helpful for those living in places with poor internet connectivity; and our infrastructure resources are preserved for optimal use.

Officials noted that 15,577 registers out of 16,912 applications have been authorized, representing an impressive 92.1% acceptance rate, underscoring the expedited speed of work. According to Dr. Misra, the department has effectively handled every systemic issue and sent out a clear warning. “If anyone is attempting to sabotage any system, the harshest action will be taken,” she said.

The department will hold technical seminars with actual registration token demonstrations for officials in Faridabad and Gurugram tomorrow in order to guarantee a smooth implementation and improve operational efficiency. The goal of these workshops is to remove any procedural bottlenecks and improve technical skill.
