In a press conference following his release, Raju Karpadra expressed gratitude to the farmers, journalists, and AAP members who supported him and his family during the difficult period. He recounted the events of October 10, 2025, at the Botad Marketing Yard, where thousands of farmers gathered to protest years of exploitation under the karda system. “APMC officials attempted to mislead the farmers with verbal assurances,” he said. He further described incidents on October 12 in Haddad Village, where some individuals tried to disrupt their program.

Addressing the media, Raju Karpadra said, “We spent 108 days in jail, but our struggle for farmers continues. Over the past eight years, we have consistently fought for farmers’ rights—whether it’s compensation for crop loss, relief during excess or deficient rainfall, issues regarding high-tension lines, land acquisition, or irrigation. We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with farmers whenever they raise their voice.”
He assured farmers across Gujarat, “Our fight will continue with twice the strength. During my time in jail, I reflected on future programs for farmers, and you will soon see the results. Corporations may try to suppress farmers or seize land, but we will study these matters and resist all injustices.”
Visavadar MLA Gopal Italia praised Raju Karpadra courage, stating, “When someone fights for the rights of others and goes to jail, society respects and honors them. From high-tension line injustices to unfair crop procurement prices, from town planning issues to highway land acquisitions, farmers have faced numerous challenges. Leaders like Raju Karpadra have brought hope to farmers by leading the struggle with a strong team including Praveenbhai Ram, Rameshbhai Mer, and Maheshbhai Kotadia.”
Italia also highlighted the political pressure faced by Karpadra, saying that false FIRs and harassment were attempts to suppress his activism. “Today, seeing farmers from across Gujarat joining Raju Karpadra , Praveenbhai Ram, and the AAP, BJP feels threatened,” he added.
The release of Raju Karpadra marks a new chapter in Gujarat’s farmers’ movement, signaling a renewed commitment to fighting exploitation and ensuring justice for the state’s agricultural community.
