Ahmedabad: AAP Gujarat President Isudan Gadhvi has urged the Gujarat government to introduce the Mahila Samman Rashi Gujarat scheme, arguing that women in the state should receive the same financial support that is being provided in other states.

Speaking on the issue, Gadhvi questioned why women in Gujarat are being deprived of a welfare scheme that has been implemented elsewhere and said that financial assistance could play a significant role in improving the lives of women, especially in tribal and rural areas.

Mahila Samman Rashi Gujarat Raised as Key Demand

Highlighting the need for direct financial support, Isudan Gadhvi said that the Mahila Samman Rashi Gujarat scheme would help strengthen the economic position of women and provide greater financial security to families.

He pointed out that governments in other states have introduced assistance programs for women and argued that Gujarat should also consider implementing a similar initiative.

According to Gadhvi, women contribute significantly to household and community development and deserve dedicated support from the government.

Tribal Women Could Benefit From Mahila Samman Rashi Gujarat

Gadhvi stated that the Mahila Samman Rashi Gujarat scheme could be particularly beneficial for women in tribal regions. He argued that direct financial assistance would help families manage daily expenses and could reduce migration from tribal areas in search of employment opportunities.

AAP Cites Welfare Initiatives in Other States

While advocating for the Mahila Samman Rashi Gujarat scheme, Gadhvi referred to welfare measures introduced by AAP governments in other states. He said that similar initiatives have provided financial assistance to women and helped improve their economic independence.

The AAP leader maintained that Gujarat women should also have access to such benefits and called on the state government to consider the proposal seriously.

AAP Promises Mahila Samman Rashi Gujarat if Voted to Power

Isudan Gadhvi said that if the current government does not implement the Mahila Samman Rashi Gujarat scheme, AAP would introduce the program if it comes to power in the 2027 Gujarat Assembly elections.

He reiterated that the party remains committed to policies aimed at supporting women and strengthening their role in society through targeted welfare measures.

Focus on Women’s Empowerment

The demand for Mahila Samman Rashi Gujarat comes amid increasing political discussions around women-centric welfare programs. Gadhvi stressed that providing financial assistance is not only about economic support but also about recognizing the contribution of women to society.

The proposal is expected to remain a key issue in Gujarat’s political discourse as parties continue to outline their plans for women’s welfare and empowerment ahead of future elections.
