Gandhinagar: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced a major Gujarat Farmers Protest on July 5 at Satyagraha Chhavani in Gandhinagar, where party leaders, farmer representatives, and workers will participate in a collective fast to raise various issues affecting the farming community.

AAP leaders said the protest is aimed at drawing attention to concerns such as electricity poles being installed in agricultural fields, crop-related challenges, and the need for greater government support for farmers across the state.

Gujarat Farmers Protest to Highlight Key Agricultural Issues

Speaking about the upcoming event, AAP Farmers’ Cell State President Pravin Ram said that the Gujarat Farmers Protest is being organized to ensure that farmers’ concerns reach the government and receive immediate attention.

He stated that farmers in different parts of Gujarat have been struggling with issues related to electricity infrastructure in farmlands and have been demanding solutions through democratic means.

AAP Extends Support to Farmers

According to party leaders, the Gujarat Farmers Protest will see participation from AAP’s state leadership, farmer leaders, and supporters from across Gujarat. The party has expressed solidarity with farmers who have been raising concerns about agricultural policies and local issues impacting cultivation.

AAP leaders believe that collective action is necessary to highlight the challenges faced by farmers and encourage meaningful dialogue with the government.

Electricity Pole Issue Among Major Concerns

One of the key topics expected to be raised during the Gujarat Farmers Protest is the installation of electricity poles in agricultural lands. Farmers have argued that such developments affect cultivation and create difficulties in managing their fields.

Pravin Ram noted that farmers in several regions have been protesting for solutions, while some have even resorted to hunger strikes to press for action on their demands.

Farmers Face Multiple Challenges

Apart from the electricity pole issue, the Gujarat Farmers Protest will also focus on broader agricultural concerns. Farmers continue to face uncertainty due to excessive rainfall, inadequate rainfall in some areas, crop damage, and difficulties in accessing seeds and fertilizers.

AAP leaders further argued that even when production is good, many farmers struggle to receive fair prices for their crops, adding to financial pressures within the agricultural sector.

Collective Fast Planned for July 5

The Gujarat Farmers Protest will take place on July 5 at Satyagraha Chhavani in Gandhinagar. AAP leaders have invited farmers from across the state to participate in the collective fast and lend their support to the movement.

The party stated that the objective of the protest is to ensure that farmers’ demands are heard and that the government takes timely steps to address long-pending issues affecting Gujarat’s agricultural community.

With farmers’ concerns becoming an increasingly important topic in public discourse, the Gujarat Farmers Protest is expected to draw significant attention from political leaders, agricultural organizations, and citizens across the state.
