The Aam Aadmi Party has strongly reacted to the court verdict against its MLA, with Gujarat state president Aam Aadmi Party leader Isudan Gadhvi alleging that the judgment is part of a political conspiracy aimed at suppressing tribal leadership in the state.
Allegations of Political Targeting
Isudan Gadhvi claimed that AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava has become a “thorn in the eyes” of the ruling establishment due to his consistent work for tribal communities. He alleged that multiple cases were filed against AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava to politically weaken him.
Dispute Over Tribal Land and Forest Issues
Gadhvi said AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava intervened in a dispute between forest officials and local farmers, helping to resolve issues related to agricultural land and standing crops. He alleged that this intervention led to pressure and retaliatory action against AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava.
Claims of Misuse of Authority
The AAP leader alleged that government employees were “pressured and threatened” to file complaints, which later formed the basis of legal action. He further claimed that AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava was targeted through repeated legal cases and imprisonment to silence his voice.

Accusations of Political Pressure and Offers
Gadhvi stated that attempts were allegedly made to persuade AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava to join the ruling party, but he refused. He said the MLA was instead subjected to continuous political pressure and legal battles.
Appeal to Higher Courts
Reaffirming the party’s position, Isudan Gadhvi said that AAP will challenge the verdict in higher courts and seek justice. He expressed confidence that AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava will get relief through the judicial process.
Tribal Community Support Claim
Gadhvi added that tribal communities across Gujarat, from Ambaji to Umargam, are strongly standing with AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava and will continue to oppose what he described as injustice against their representative.
