Ahmedabad, Gujarat – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP Gujarat)  President Isudan Gadhvi strongly criticized the Union Budget, calling it “completely hollow” and lacking vision for both farmers and the middle class. Speaking to the media, Gadhvi said that while the middle class contributes heavily through taxes and GST, the budget provides them no relief.

“On healthcare, the budget does nothing despite families spending a large portion of their income on medical expenses. Education too receives no significant attention,” Isudan Gadhvi said.

Addressing farmers’ issues, Isudan Gadhvi noted that India has millions of farmers, yet the budget offers no vision for irrigation, free electricity, crop loans, or other support. “Farmers are unlikely to benefit from this budget. Even youth unemployment is ignored, with government recruitment declining and many jobs outsourced instead of being filled directly,” he added.

Isudan Gadhvi criticized the MNREGA scheme, saying, “The scheme’s name has been changed and 100 days increased to 125, but now 40% of the financial burden is shifted to state governments. There is no clarity on how states will implement it.”

Isudan Gadhvi concluded by calling the budget “disappointing” and warned that it risks pulling India down, leaving poor, marginalized, and oppressed communities without proper support.
