Ahmedabad, Gujarat – Senior AAP leader and Visavadar MLA Gopal Italia has strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over its governance in Gujarat, claiming that the state’s people have been under the party’s “duress” for years.

Speaking to the media, Gopal Italia said that BJP leaders have become arrogant under what he described as a “totalitarian rule,” treating Gujarat as if it belonged to them personally. He highlighted the growing trend of using bulldozers indiscriminately and alleged that land dealings were being conducted to benefit select BJP leaders and business interests.

“The people of Gujarat voted for the BJP under duress for years. But now we want to remind the public that Gujarat does not belong to the BJP—it belongs to the people,” Italia said.

Gopal Italia further asserted that the party intends to continue standing up for public rights and fight against arbitrary land acquisitions, illegal demolitions, and governance that favors party insiders over ordinary citizens.
