Gujarat: In a significant show of support for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), AAP MLA Chhatar Vasava presided over a massive “Parivartan Sabha” in Jhagadia, Gujarat, where thousands of people—including social leaders, retired officials, and members from BJP, Congress, and other groups—officially joined the party, signaling growing momentum for AAP in the region.

Chhatar Vasava Criticizes BJP and Congress Policies

Addressing the gathering, MLA Chhatar Vasava expressed strong disapproval of both BJP and Congress governance in the area. He alleged that during Congress rule, tribal lands were acquired under the guise of development projects, and now BJP is following similar practices. He further criticized the BJP for failing to provide adequate education, irrigation, employment, and healthcare services over the past three decades.

Chhatar Vasava highlighted that the overwhelming attendance at the “Parivartan Sabha” reflects the public’s desire for change, asserting that AAP will contest local elections in the area and is confident of achieving victories in taluka panchayat, district panchayat, and municipal elections.

Acknowledgement of Local Support

The MLA Chhatar Vasava  also praised Chandrakantbhai Vasava, who generously provided the venue for the event. He described Chandrakantbhai as a selfless social worker who has helped residents in flood relief, COVID-19 response, and conducting weddings, emphasizing that his support was purely humanitarian rather than political.

Focus on Tribal Identity and Public Awareness

Chhatar Vasava addressed cultural and political issues, stating that slogans such as “Jai Adivasi, Jai Johar, Jai Birsa Munda” will gain wider acceptance as awareness spreads among the people. He also asserted that recent surveys indicate AAP emerging as a direct competitor to BJP, while Congress appears sidelined.

Internal Political Conflicts Highlighted

The MLA Chhatar Vasava discussed internal political conflicts within regional parties, pointing out that certain leaders who previously joined BTP and later BJP and Congress, have weakened opposition efforts, but the public is now becoming more aware and ready to hold leaders accountable.

The event was a major demonstration of AAP’s growing influence in Jhagadia and surrounding areas, signaling a shift in public sentiment and support towards the party ahead of upcoming local elections.
