Arvind Kejriwal Claims AAP Will Win in Rajkot, Slams Gujarat Govt Over Farmer Arrests

by Desk

Arvind Kejriwal, during his Gujarat visit, said Rajkot’s next mayor will be from AAP and criticised the state government over farmer arrests and governance issues.

Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, who is on a three-day visit to Gujarat, engaged with party activists on Monday, December 8, concerning the municipal elections in Rajkot. During this, he stated that the upcoming mayor of Rajkot will be from the Aam Aadmi Party.

In the most recent election, the residents of Rajkot cast 18 percent of their votes in favor of AAP. Currently, public trust has experienced an increase. The moment has arrived for the BJP to assume control for a duration of 30 years. Over the span of 30 years, Singapore achieved the status of a developed nation, and the BJP transformed the fleet of Gujarat within the same period. The temporal cycle in Gujarat has undergone a transformation. The formation of the administration in Gujarat will now proceed. What individuals express will be identical. He urged the AAP workers to individually return home and dispel the dread of the BJP entrenched in the minds of the populace.

During a discussion with the workers in Rajkot, Arvind Kejriwal stated that the children of farmers were detained during the altercation. In the morning, I interacted with those producers and their families. Children of eighty-eight farmers were detained, and severe sections of law along with false accusations were levied against them. During the confrontation, the farmers assembled to assert their rights through a peaceful protest against the Karda system. Our Constitution further grants every citizen of the nation the right to present their demands in a peaceful manner. The farmers were also expressing their demands peacefully; however, they were subjected to a lathi charge, and a fabricated case was filed against them, resulting in their imprisonment.

Arvind Kejriwal stated that among the 88 individuals detained, 42 have been granted parole, while 46 remain incarcerated. The farmers, upon their release from custody, stated that they were not provided with potable water or sustenance during the initial 24 hours. They experienced frequent physical altercations. That is how the British treated us.

He stated that Gujarat is the homeland of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel, who led the effort to expel the British from the nation. The British also believed that no one possessed the capacity to expel them from India. They will govern here permanently, but Gandhiji and Sarkar Patel expelled them. Today, the BJP also believes that they have been in power for 30 years, and no one can displace them. There are two additional years remaining. Two years hence, the citizens of Gujarat will oust the BJP from power.

The AAP leader stated that such acts of violence and atrocities will no longer be tolerated in Gujarat. Listening to the narratives of the victim’s farming families, I was moved to tears. The BJP believed that this repression would undermine the resolve of the farmers. Rather than diminishing the resolve of the farmers, the BJP unified the farmers throughout Gujarat. I was informed that the entire village, from which the farmers were apprehended, collaboratively tended their fields and demonstrated solidarity akin to that of a family. The individuals who have been detained have instilled confidence in the people of Gujarat, demonstrating that unity is essential among all.

The former Chief Minister of Delhi stated that all the roads in Gujarat are in disrepair. Over the course of thirty years, Singapore advanced to become a developed nation on the global stage. It has been three decades since the BJP administration was established in Gujarat. Over the course of these 30 years, the BJP has developed the fleet of Gujarat. They do not construct roads, schools, or hospitals. Drug misuse is being distributed throughout Gujarat. An FIR has been filed against anyone who voices opposition against them. They also incarcerated me on a fabricated charge. It is alleged that Kejriwal is involved in corruption. If Kejriwal is corrupt, then there is no one else in this planet. These individuals have imprisoned me numerous times, yet I am prepared to sacrifice my life for my country.

Arvind Kejriwal stated that these individuals will now also be filing FIRs against “AAP” workers. We must be adequately prepared for that. I consistently support my employees. If they are incarcerated, I will eliminate it. Eighty-eight producers have been detained. Of these, 42 farmers have been rescued, and an additional 46 farmers are expected to be evacuated in the coming days. You may be detained in custody for a period of two months within the country. Sardar Patel and Mahatma Gandhi were also incarcerated. Two years later, upon the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party administration in Gujarat, all registered FIRs shall be rescinded. BJP ministers ought to study the Bhagavad Gita. Lord Krishna has stated that when the cycle of time turns, it causes the elders to tremble. When the BJP assumes power, those currently responsible for incarcerating them will find themselves working in a prison facility.

He stated that the cycle of time has now turned. The moment has arrived for the BJP to depart from Gujarat. No individual needs to harbor fear. The citizens will now participate in the elections in Gujarat, while the supporters of the BJP will abstain from running. The government shall be constituted by the will of the people; the actions undertaken will reflect their expressed wishes. Previously, in Rajkot, 18 percent of the eligible votes were tallied. This 18 percent vote reflects the public’s confidence in the Aam Aadmi Party. “Eighteen percent of the population in Rajkot supported the AAP because it is a relatively new and emerging party.” The Aam Aadmi Party was founded approximately 10 to 12 years ago, in 2012. Today, for the first time in Indian politics, we compelled all parties to address issues related to schools, hospitals, utilities, and water. Previously, no political party had addressed issues related to schools, hospitals, electricity, and water during the elections.

Arvind Kejriwal stated that the residents of Rajkot cast their votes for the Aam Aadmi Party with a confidence level of 18 percent. Currently, public confidence in the Aam Aadmi Party has grown. We must return home and persuade others. Everyone is required to contribute. Individuals experience fear; it is an inevitable response. We are assured that the public will endorse our efforts. We sincerely expect that the Aam Aadmi Party will be appointed as the next mayor of Rajkot.
