AAP Gujarat Claims BJP’s Attack on Chaitar Vasava Driven by Fear of Popularity

by Desk

AAP Gujarat ’s Isudan Gadhvi slams BJP for false charges and low-level politics as AAP’s popularity rises across the state.

Ahmedabad/Gujarat – The political tensions in Gujarat intensified on Thursday as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Gujarat President Isudan Gadhvi accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of leveling baseless and politically motivated allegations against AAP MLA Chaitar Vasava.

Gadhvi, speaking in a video message, claimed that the BJP is “terrified” by AAP’s rising popularity among tribal communities, particularly in areas from Ambaji to Umargam, and has resorted to “cheap political tactics” to undermine the party’s influence.

Allegations and Denial

The controversy erupted after BJP MP Mansukh Vasava alleged that MLA Chaitar Vasava demanded ₹75 lakh. However, according to Gadhvi, when Chaitar Vasava approached the Bharuch Collector regarding the accusation, the Collector clearly stated that “the charges are false.”

Gadhvi questioned the BJP’s motive, stating, “When the Collector himself says the allegation is false, what exactly is the BJP trying to prove?” He emphasized that Chaitar Vasava is regarded as a strong voice for the tribal community, and the BJP is allegedly attempting to discredit him due to his growing popularity.

Comparing Rallies

Highlighting AAP’s influence, Gadhvi contrasted Chaitar Vasava’s rallies with those of Prime Minister Narendra Modi:

  • Chaitar Vasava’s gatherings reportedly draw people voluntarily.

  • Modi’s rallies, despite using buses for mobilization, fail to attract similar crowds.

He argued that this demonstrates the BJP’s fear and frustration over AAP’s rising support.

Pattern of Targeting AAP Leaders

Gadhvi accused the BJP of repeatedly targeting AAP leaders:

  1. Attempting to poach them into BJP.

  2. Offering deals if poaching fails.

  3. Filing false cases and arrests.

  4. Running character assassination campaigns.

He cited previous false allegations against himself, including claims of alcohol consumption and misbehavior, stressing that he has never touched alcohol and runs anti-addiction campaigns.

Growing Discontent Within BJP

Gadhvi further claimed that BJP’s governance has led to public discontent due to rising inflation, crimes, and lack of justice. Even BJP’s own party workers, he said, are leaving the party due to dissatisfaction with its current politics.

He also criticized the arrests of farmer activists Raju Karpada and Praveen Ram, asserting that the BJP targets leaders who speak for farmers.

AAP’s Stand and Call to Public

Gadhvi assured that AAP leaders will not be intimidated by false cases or jail: “We are here to free the people of Gujarat from the BJP’s tightening grip. We may be tired, but we have not lost courage.”

He urged citizens, particularly the youth, to use social media to expose the BJP’s “real face” and counter false narratives. He called for active participation in ensuring that political accountability is upheld.

Gadhvi concluded by appealing to the people of Gujarat: “Gujarat’s citizens must wake up. Respond through comments, videos, and social media. Only the public can remove the BJP from power.”
