AAP Gujarat will present 10 farmers’ demands to CM Bhupendra Patel on December 16, warning of agitation if the government does not act.
Ahmedabad: The Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat has announced that a delegation of the party will meet Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on December 16 to present a set of 10 key demands related to farmers’ issues across the state. The announcement was made through AAP Gujarat’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle.
According to the party, AAP MLA Gopalbhai Italiya had earlier written a formal letter to the Chief Minister, outlining the farmers’ demands and requesting an appointment to discuss the matter. The party said the letter highlights several pressing concerns being faced by farmers in Gujarat and seeks immediate government intervention.
AAP stated that the upcoming meeting is aimed at conveying the grievances of farmers directly to the Chief Minister and pushing for concrete action. The party emphasized that these demands reflect the ongoing challenges related to agriculture, livelihoods, and rural welfare in the state.

In its post, AAP Gujarat warned that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led state government fails to address or accept the farmers’ demands, the party will launch an “intense agitation” in support of farmers. The party did not provide details of the protest plan but made it clear that it is prepared to escalate its campaign if the talks do not yield results.
AAP leaders have repeatedly accused the Gujarat government of ignoring farmers’ issues and claimed that agricultural distress continues despite official assurances. The party said it would continue to stand with farmers and raise their concerns both inside and outside the legislature.
So far, there has been no official response from the Gujarat government regarding the meeting request or the demands mentioned by the AAP.
The December 16 meeting is expected to be closely watched, as it could determine whether discussions lead to policy action or further political confrontation over farmers’ issues in Gujarat.
