Speaking at the event, several women appealed for restrictions on liquor sales, emphasizing the adverse effects on children and the community’s future. One participant said, “A lot of liquor is sold here, do whatever you want but stop the liquor here and save the future of our children,” reflecting the community’s growing concern over alcohol-related issues.
