Ahmedabad/Gujarat : Leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP Gujarat ), including State President Isudan Gadhvi, MLA Gopal Italia, State Organization General Secretary Manoj Sorathia, Front Organization State President Praveen Ram, State Youth President Brijraj Solanki, Front Organization State General Secretary Samat Gadhvi, Central Zone Executive President Dr. Jewel Vasra, State Vice President Gauri Desai, and State Chief Spokesperson Dr. Karan Barot, along with other office bearers, met the Governor of Gujarat today.
Earlier, in a press conference, Isudan Gadhvi addressed the media, stating that the AAP is a national party and, despite having only five MLAs, consistently raises public issues. However, the AAP Gujarat party has faced repeated delays in securing an appointment with the Governor. The first request was related to the Rajkot Game Zone issue, followed by letters on various public concerns, including one sent separately by Chatra Vasava. Despite these attempts, no meeting was granted. Today, the party decided to formally submit an application in person.

Gadhvi further emphasized that the AAP Gujarat party will not compromise on addressing the concerns of Gujarat’s citizens, particularly those of farmers, marginalized communities, the poor, small business owners, and livestock farmers. He raised concerns over the impending trade deal with the United States, warning it could severely impact these groups.
He questioned whether the trade deal was influenced by external pressures, including the Epstein files or issues related to Adani. Currently, American products carry up to 30% import tax, which is expected to be removed, while Indian products may face higher tariffs. Farmers are already struggling with inadequate crop prices, poor implementation of crop insurance, and rising irrigation and electricity costs. In such circumstances, subsidized foreign agricultural products entering the market could make competition difficult for local farmers. He noted that American farmers receive subsidies of ₹5.4 million, lowering their production costs and making their products cheaper in India, potentially driving down local prices.

AAP Gujarat Highlights Milk Price Instability and Risks from US Dairy Products
Regarding the dairy sector, Gadhvi highlighted the instability in milk prices, the growing trade in adulterated milk, and inefficiencies in local dairy unions. He warned that allowing foreign dairy products could further harm local milk producers. He also raised a cultural concern, stating that cows in the US are fed non-vegetarian feed, meaning milk products derived from them would be imported into India. He asked whether the BJP government would force vegetarian consumers to consume such milk.
Gadhvi claimed that if AAP Gujarat were in power in Gujarat, dairy farmers would currently receive ₹15 more per liter of milk. He further warned that as long as the BJP remains in power, farmers, livestock owners, and small business owners will continue to suffer. He demanded that the government clarify why American agricultural and dairy products are being allowed into India.
Finally, appealing to the public, Gadhvi urged voters—especially farmers, livestock owners, and small business owners—to vote carefully in the upcoming local self-government elections, rather than following caste or community leaders, and support those who genuinely prioritize their interests.
