AAP strengthens its Gujarat presence; Junagadh leaders released from jail honored, party gears up for farmers’ rights and upcoming elections.

Ahmedabad, Gujarat – The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is steadily strengthening its presence across Gujarat, organizing farmer mahapanchayats, “Gujarat Jodo” rallies, neighborhood meetings, assembly worker gatherings, and organizational sessions in every corner of the state.

As part of this effort, a coordination meeting was held in Junagadh with the district organization’s workers. During the meeting, leaders recently released after serving 60-day jail sentences for advocating farmers’ rights were honored. These included AAP Saurashtra Zone In-Charge Raju Bhai Borkhataria, OBC Cell State President Piyush Parmar, and Maheshbhai Kotadia. AAP MLA Gopal Italia and State Organization Secretary Manoj Sorathiya warmly welcomed the leaders, garlanding them as a mark of respect.

The jail sentences were linked to a police case during the farmer mahapanchayat in Haddad village, Botad, in which 85 people were booked. Some AAP leaders, including Raju Karpada and Praveen Ram, were also sent to jail for raising farmers’ issues. Many of the imprisoned leaders have now been released, although a few, including Raju Karpada and Praveen Ram, remain in custody.

The Junagadh coordination meeting was attended by AAP Visavadar MLA Gopal Italia, State Organization Secretary Manoj Sorathiya, and other officials and party workers. During the meeting, the party laid out strategies to strengthen organizational structures and prepare for upcoming elections.

AAP’s expansion efforts are not limited to Junagadh; the party is also consolidating its presence across North Gujarat. Analysts say this growing grassroots strength could translate into historic electoral gains in Junagadh in the next state elections.
