The infamous criminal Kaif, who was wanted for several violent offenses, was shot and taken into custody during a police encounter in Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh.

The city of New Delhi :  In the Shalimar Bagh neighborhood of North West Delhi, a police team shot a criminal during a confrontation Tuesday night, setting off a dramatic event. Under the direction of DCP Outer North Hareshwar V Swami, the police squad had gone to make an arrest of Kaif, a man who was sought in a number of criminal offenses. But the dispute swiftly turned into a bloody gunfight as the crew tried to capture him.

The officers were approached by Kaif, who has been described as a known criminal with a history of violent offenses, and he reportedly opened fire on them. The cops responded quickly, firing again, striking the accused in the leg. The culprit was captured right away and sent to the closest hospital for medical attention.

Kaif is reportedly a top suspect in several ongoing investigations into major crimes like assault, extortion, and robbery. The police have been closely monitoring his movements because of his criminal actions, which have apparently terrorized the area for several months.

After the encounter, a senior police officer stated that Kaif’s arrest will have a big effect on local criminal investigations that are still continuing. “His apprehension represents a significant success in combating organized crime in North West Delhi.” Our goal is to make sure that those who endanger public safety are held accountable,” the officer stated.

Shootouts in Delhi in recent years : 

A number of high-profile shootouts have taken place in Delhi in recent months, with the Shalimar Bagh encounter being the most recent. These incidents underscore the escalating tensions between the city’s criminal groups and police officials.

There was a shooting in the Moti Nagar area at the beginning of August when police engaged two armed guys who were trying to escape after robbing someone. It was after a spectacular chase through small alleyways that one of the robbers was shot in the leg and the other was apprehended. This incident took place during a continuous campaign to combat Delhi’s growing street crime rate.

An same incident happened earlier this month in the Rohini district when two armed attackers opened fire on police as they tried to flee after stealing a jewelry store. One of the bandits was wounded by the police’s retaliatory fire and later passed away in the hospital from his wounds.
