Delhi CM Rekha Gupta celebrates Chhath Puja 2025 at Yamuna Ghat, offering Arghya to the rising Sun and seeking blessings for a Viksit Bharat and Delhi.

On the last day of Chhath Puja, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta joined countless devotees in making the “Arghya” offering to the rising Sun along the Yamuna River‘s banks

Invoking the blessings of “Chhathi Maiya” for a “Viksit Bharat” and “Viksit Delhi,” Gupta expressed her happiness at the enthusiasm of the populace and asserted that her government’s arrangements were being well received throughout the nation.

Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj, and Culture Minister Kapil Mishra joined Gupta at the ITO ghat.

“Watching Chhath be celebrated with such majesty is gratifying. Gupta stated, “My Purvanchali brothers and sisters can now offer Arghya to the Sun God standing in the Yamuna waters, whereas before they had to celebrate the festival at artificial ponds.”

In Delhi, the BJP administration built ghats at 1,300 places throughout the city and 17 along the Yamuna as part of their massive preparations for the Purvanchali community’s biggest festival.

The Purvanchali community, one of Delhi’s largest demographic groupings, participates fervently in the three-day Chhath Puja celebration, which is devotedly celebrated in honor of the Sun God.
